Favorite Designers Throughout History

Alphonse Mucha: pivotal figure to the Art Nouveau movement; he made several posters advertising everything from the theatre to biscuits to cigarettes.  Pictured below the read more link is an ad for Moet & Chandon champagne, along with a collection of more graphic designers throughout history.

Bauhaus-associated designer Jan Tschichold, famous for designing Penguin’s iconic book covers, was also a photographer and frequently combined photography and graphic design.

Paul Rand is known for his creative IBM logos, but has a massive body of work ranging from book covers to advertisements and posters.  His work combines bright color, bold shape, and illustration.
